Pitso – Why I Won’t Sign Sirino Or Shalulile

Pitso Mosimane has explained why he will not go after the likes of Gaston Sirino and Peter Shalulile, who have been linked with a move to Al Ahly.

The South African coach revealed on Friday that he wants to bring a player from South Africa to Egypt and you can read more about which player he targets in this week’s iDiski Times

However, he insisted he will not go after players of his previous club Mamelodi Sundowns.

“There is a player to come from South Africa to Al Ahly, we’re working on it,” he told Thabiso Mosia on SAFM.

“By the way, it’s not a Gaston Sirino, it’s not a (Thembinkosi) Lorch, and by the way it’s not Shalulile, cause everybody says we want Shalulile.

“We will do it the right way, there is a player we’re working on, watch this space.

“Not from my previous club, I’d never touch my previous club, because there are problems. People take me to court, I don’t need that mess.”

Mosimane also explained that he wants to do things the “right way” and would talk to the club before approaching the player.

“I’d like a South African player to play for Al Ahly,” he added.

“But if it’s a player to come from South Africa, it must be done right. If we want Lorch, I’ll speak to the chairman of Orlando Pirates, out of respect.

“You don’t talk to the players, you go straight and I talk to Bobby (Motaung). I can tell you I speak to Bobby. I like to do things right and proper.

“You know how it went with Gaston (Sirino), I don’t want it to go that way, with my former employees that I’m now trying to strip off the team.

“Gaston Sirino was wanted by Al Ahly when I was still at my former team and I made sure that he doesn’t come. I said, he stays here and all that.”

iDiski Times has learned that the player Mosimane wants is Samir Nurkovic from Kaizer Chiefs but there is a stumbling block and you can read all about it in this week’s newspaper.
