Seema Credits Players For Derby Win
Golden Arrows head coach Lehlohonolo Seema has credited his players for a hard fought win in the KZN derby over Maritzburg United.
Arrows beat Maritzburg 2-1 in Saturday’s DStv Premiership match in the opening round of fixtures.
The former Chippa United coach was pleased with how his players performed, but says they are still a work-in-progress.
“Ja, I could see that it was a tough game,” Seema said after the match.
“There was a lot of aggression and the teams were able to take each other on, one-v-ones, the duels we can see, we could see that it was the KZN Derby.
“However credit must go to the players, I think the players they really pushed like they are the seasoned players.
“And it’s only our second game, like I’ve said before that we still working on a lot of things. And once we get them, that I said, after the fifth game, they are those situations, those moments that we’re gonna react better on them than we did today, than we did the last game.
“But we are happy with the three points that we got today, at least we have something that we can put on the on the board to show for the hard work that the guys have been doing.”
