Seema Looking Forward To Derby

Golden Arrows head coach Lehlohonolo Seema says there’s a lot at stake on Wednesday when they face AmaZulu in a KZN derby.

The two surprise packages from last season’s DStv Premiership race have not found things going all their way this time around, Arrows are currently eighth, while AmaZulu are 15th.

But a result at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Wednesday would be big for either team, but Seema knows it won’t be easy.

“We’re expecting a very difficult to game against AmaZulu,” Seema told the club’s media department.

“We’re quite aware that it’s going to be a derby. And you know, derbies how they are, two teams from the same province, and it’s always difficult matches.

“And there’s a lot of stake, a lot of bragging rights, from the supporters, from the players.

“And we are facing AmaZulu, the team that we know that the past results are very good, having won the team that hasn’t lost in the last 10 years in Malawi, away from home AmaZulu. That speaks volumes for them.

“And ja, we are Golden Arrows. We will play our way. But we’ll have to make sure that we expect a very difficult game against AmaZulu. And we are quite aware that for the past two games we have conceded towards the end of the games. And we have been working on that, trying to rectify that.

“One thing that we have to do is, AmaZulu has got a lot of experience in their team, and they’ve got a lot of good players that they can put out on the day. But as Golden Arrows will play our way, and making sure that we concentrate up until the last minute of the game.

“And ja, we know that if we play our way, we stand a good chance of getting the maximum points. So we are looking forward to a very difficult game come Wednesday afternoon.”
