Spurs Snap Up Angolan

GladAfrica Championship team Cape Town Spurs have confirmed the signing of an Angolan midfielder.

Moisés Pedro Amor was unveiled by the club on Thursday, Spurs’ third signing ahead of the 2021/2022 season.

The club had previously announced former Stellenbosch captain Jarrod Moroole, while former Ajax Cape Town youth player Colin Ryan returns to the club.

Amor is no stranger to South African football, and the 21 year old played for Royal AM last season.

The versatile midfielder played 11 games for the club that has been mired in controversy this season, following the DC ruling that Sekhukhune United with the GladAfrica league ahead of Royal AM, who boycotted the playoffs as they sought legal intervention.

Amor spoke of his ambitions to play in the top flight, and hopes to help Spurs achieve promotion.

““I need to work hard every day,” he told the club’s website.

“My goal is to play in the DStv Premiership and I hope to help Spurs win promotion so we can achieve that goal together.”
