Marumo Gallants midfielder Miguel Timm has shared his views on being drawn against ABC Motsepe League side Santos FC in the Nedbank Cup last 32.
Timm was in the Bahlabana Ba Ntwa, previously (TTM) squad that beat Chippa United 1-0 in the Nedbank Cup final last year at the Free State Stadium—and now Targets to clinch the second tittle.
He says they’ve received a tough draw, and they will not take the opponents as a small team, but they are ready to reach finals and defend their tittle.
“I think we would be naive to think there’s a favorable draw in this cup,” he told iDiski Times.
“We up against a team with a rich history in the PSL, so we are respectful of that.
“But we’ve created a bit of our history recently, and we are looking to build on that and start strong in our first game.
“As an individual, I will continue to give 100% to every opportunity the coach gives me. I want to be efficient in my duties to allow the guys in front of me to have more freedom to get into dangerous areas for goals.”
The 29-year-old midfielder will see his side host the former PSL winners, Santos in the round of 32, with date to be confirmed.
