Swallows Head Coach Brandon Truter says they need to put the loss against TS Galaxy behind them as fast as possible.
Tuesday’s DStv Premiership 2-1 defeat was Swallows’ first defeat in the league this season.
Galaxy struck twice in the final five minutes after Swallows had taken the lead earlier in the second half.
“Ja, I think we were in control nicely for 85 minutes, 5 minutes to go one nil up, fairly comfortable,” Truter said after the game.
“Then they put us under a bit of pressure. I mean, at that stage, five minutes to go, they put four or five players up front to force us to react to that. Ja, turnover, and they scored by a deflection. And then the other one was a set play.”
“So two moments of madness in five minutes, and we got punished, but I’m so proud of the boys, we played very well against an opponent, that do man to man marking, and makes it very difficult for you to play.”
“But we played, we dominated. They didn’t have a clue. We manage everything they threw at us until the 85th Minute. But then again, I don’t fault the boys for anything, they did well, superb, but two individual moments where we switched off.”
“But yeah, we’ll take it, we’ll work. And we look forward to the next game. We have to get this result behind us as quick as possible.”
“Ja, no. Look, I have to motivate them. Of course they are now a bit down with this result. We thought we won it, but it ain’t over till the final whistle.”
“And that’s what we realized. Look, we still tried, we still had chances after they went two-one up. So we still tried but it unfortunately didn’t go for us.”
“Motivating them I’m sure it won’t be a problem. We have some experience boys who can help in that regard. So ja, I’m looking forward already to the TTM game. We need to get this result behind us as quick as possible.”
