Orbit Top But Magesi & Baroka Close In

Clinton Larsen’s Magesi and Dan Malesela’s Baroka made moves up the Motsepe Foundation Championship table, as Orbit College hung onto the first spot.

Baroka beat Orbit 1-0 to move into fourth place, two points behind the leaders, as they continue their rise under Dan Dance.

Magesi were 3-1 winners over Hungry Lions, and Larsen’s side are up to second, a point behind Orbit, who have now suffered back-to-back defeats and three losses in their last four matches.

On Friday JDR Stars missed an opportunity to move into first spot, as they drew 2-2 with Casric Stars. JDR are now third. Also on Friday, the clash between Daine Klate’s La Masia and Maritzburg United ended goalless.

Marumo Gallants were 4-2 winners against Pretoria Callies on Saturday, while it ended 1-1 between Black Leopards and Venda Football Club.

On Sunday, Upington City beat Milford 1-0, while Tuks were 2-1 winners at home against Platinum City Rovers.
