Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi is hopeful after delivering the baby, he will gain more support to enable to continue his ‘process’ at the club.
Nabi has delivered Chiefs their first piece of silverware since 2015, in his debut season that has been marred by inconsistencies as the seasons before he came – with the club in ninth place in the league.

There were murmurs last month that him and his technical staff could be relieved of his duties, with iDiski Times having it on good authority, that the club’s hierarchy were shortlisting potential replacements for the 2025/26 season.
However, things could change after the domestic cup triumph which has also qualified Chiefs for the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
“It wasn’t a very nice final, we have to agree, not very entertaining, but you know in these kind of finals, many people say a final you don’t play it, you win it – there was a but of luck in terms of the spectacle,” he said.
“We started well the game, but after conceding the equaliser [from Makgopa] we had bit of worry that mentally we might collapse, as we did in the previous games, we went through some tough moments until half time where we tried to reorganise ourselves, tried to reorganise our block to be more compact.
“We started well in the second half but the changes we made with Ox, Shabalala and Du Preez gave us more energy, more balance to go back into the game and control the game more, until scoring the second goal. After that… it’s been a tough ten years, everyone wanted to win this so badly, so we just went back to defend and here we are!”
Nabi went into detail what the cup means to him, having win domestic cups in DR Congo and Tanzania, prior to his arrival in Mzansi, when he was headhunted from Botola Pro club ASFAR at the start of this season.
“It’s a very important trophy for the fans, club, management and the entire staff of the team, for myself it’s the first objective when I came to Kaizer Chiefs, the process, to build something to bring Kaizer Chiefs back to its natural position,” Nabi said.
“This is my first objective, after that I go home – I’m happy for this trophy because it might help me continue my process and maybe help me get more confidence from the fans and the management – myself and all my members of staff. I am very happy for this. This cup is very important for my mission. “
Kaze echoed by stating: “The delivery of the baby, it’s a very nice big baby today.”
