After their 3-1 win over TS Galaxy to reach the MTN8 semi-finals, Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker explained the reason why Deano Van Rooyen did not start the game on Sunday. Van Rooyen, who captained the club for most of last season, was on the bench, and did make an appearance for the final five minutes of the game. It was a chilly day in the Cape Winelands, though fortunately, the rain had subsided by the time the game kicked off at 3pm.
