Orlando Pirates should not have been awarded a penalty in their Betway Premiership win over Richards Bay, according to former PSL referee Victor Hlungwani. This comes after Tshepang Moremi tumbled in the 18-yard area after what looked like a challenge from the back on the Pirates man. Algerian journalist Nazim Bessol has confirmed that Rulani Mokwena was detained and received a two-month suspended prison sentence after being found guilty for attempting to take a foreign currency out of the the country. Mokwena had parted ways with MC Alger over the weekend after agreeing to take over Libyan giants Al Ittihad. Former Orlando Pirates striker Benni McCarthy has weighed in on this season’s Betway Premiership title race. McCarthy says his former side has their work cut out for them and warns about Sundowns’ strong mental strength in pursuit of the league.
