Senegal have won the 2025 Africa Cup of Nation after beating hosts Morocco 1-0 in a game that was overshadowed by parts of the Lions of Teranga squad walking off the pitch in injury-time. The game was overshadowed by a contentious penalty in the 95th minute after VAR review by referee Jean-Jacques Ngambo Ndala. Chaos erupted and parts of the Senegal squad walked off the pitch, until Sadio Mane called his teammates back. Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has discussed Orlando Pirates’ possible replacements for departed centre-back Mbekezeli Mbokazi. The starlet joined Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire on a four-year deal late last year and is expected to start training with his new side this month in the US. Orlando Pirates Assistant coach Mandala Ncikazi says the training stage the team is at currently is a critical one for the side and they get ready for the second half of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season. The Buccaneers have enjoyed a good start to the campaign with three domestic trophies in the opening six months of the season and finishing 2025 at the summit of the league table with 28 points in 12 outings. Durban City are believed to have set their sights on Sekhukhune United winger Ronaldo Maarman. iDiski Times can confirm that Durban City is edging closer to securing the signing of Maarman from Sekhukhune United just six months after his arrival. The 26-year old joined Babina Noko in July 2025 from Chippa United. He made five appearances for Sekhukhune, starting just twice, and scored one goal.
