Banyana Learn WAFCON Opponents

Banyana Banyana have been draw in Group B for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament to be hosted by Morocco from 17 March-3 April. The 2022 Champions were seeded in the group will face Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Tanzania at the continental showpiece. The tournament will for the first time have 16 teams participating with the top four qualifying for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. Golden Arrows coach Manqoba Mngqithi has made a bold assessment of Hugo Broos following Bafana Bafana’s early AFCON exit. Former Inter Milan midfielder Sabri Lamouchi has been appointed as the Tunisia head coach, a role previously linked to former Kaizer Chiefs mentor Nasreddine Nabi.
