Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos believes that influential attacker Patrick Maswanganyi can potentially be Themba Zwane’s successor. Broos has for some time reiterated that Bafana needs to find a successor for Zwane, who is approaching his 36th birthday. ‘Mshishi’ has been ruled out of competitive action since sustaining an Achilles an injury in a 1-1 draw against Congo Brazzaville back in October. Since then, Maswanganyi has fitted like a glove in that number 10 role as he has scored in back-to-back AFCON Qualifiers ties against Uganda and South Sudan to secure the top spot for Bafana in Group K.
