Former Orlando Pirates attacking midfielder Relebohile Mofokeng had a dream debut for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, helping the club to the Belgian Super Cup.

Mofokeng, 20, completed a dream move to Europe after the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Despite missing parts of pre-season, Mofokeng seems to have adopted quite well to his new environment.

On Friday, his side faced Belgian champions Club Brugge in the Super Cup, and Mofokeng made his debut off the bench after 61 minutes with his side 1-0 down.

But USG equalised 16 minutes later via Kevin Mac Allister forcing penalties.

Mofokeng showed his confidence and importance for his new club, taking the crucial fifth and final penalty, and making no mistake.

He converted, as did all his teammates, while Cheveyo Tsawa missed for Brugge, to secure the first trophy since his arrival.
