Having previously starred at APR FC, Byiringiro enjoyed a stint in Sweden with Sandvikens IF where he scored nine goals with one assist in 39 games.
With extensive experience in CAF inter-club football and 14 senior international caps, his profile comes as a enticing one for City ahead of their debut foray into the continent this season.
iDiski Times has been informed that talks are progressing with both parties keen on the deal – but the move is subject to a successful work permit and medical, that could drag on for another week.
City open their season at Seshego Stadium on Saturday afternoon against Sekhukhune United.
