AGF Aarhus wing-back Gift Links has been named in the 2023/24 Danish Superliga Team of the Season.
The 25-year-old has thrived in his new wing-back role over the past two seasons with the club, but took his game to new heights after signing a new contract until July 2026.
AGF finished fifth in the league, while Links created a goal on the final day to deny Brondby the league title and helped them to the final of the Danish Cup.
Overall, he scored two goals with seven assists in 34 games in the domestic season, featuring on either flank in his wing-back role but has been lauded for his intensity, pressing and explosive pace for the club – and he is the only player from his club in the SuperLiga Team of the Season.
Links will undoubtedly be in high demand in the off-season with a transfer to one of Europe’s more prestigious leagues being touted in Danish media.
Despite his impressive form this season, Links remained overlooked for the Bafana Bafana squad named by Hugo Broos for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
