Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies star Miche Minnies is aiming to write more history after an incredible debut season with the club.
The talented forward joined Sundowns from Vasco da Gama in the off-season and scored 23 goals across all competitions, second behind teammate Boitumelo Radebe (24).
At 21, she helped them retain the Hollywoodbets Super League and reach the finals of the COSAFA Cup qualifiers and CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.
While they fell short of winning consecutive titles in those competitions, Minnies admits it was a special season, on a personal level.
“I have enjoyed several beautiful moments since I joined this illustrious club. Scoring four times in one game and reaching two continental finals are just some of the highlights of my debut season,” she told the club’s webiste.
Minnies stated she was ‘happy’ with the number of goals she scored but found joy in her overall contribution to the team.
“It gives me great joy to also assist my teammates because we are built to fight for each other,” she added before highlighting her ambitions for next season.
“We will be gunning to dominate every competition we participate in. On a personal level, I am aiming to work harder to surpass my debut season performance and to win more titles with this great club.
“I hope to fight for my place in the team because the level of quality at Sundowns Ladies is very high. I am not resting on my achievements and I am eager to excel whenever I am called upon.”
