TP Mazembe and Simba SC are among several suitors keen on Richards Bay goalkeeper Salim Magoola.

Magoola, 28, joined the Natal Richboyz from Pretoria Callies in July 2022 after winning promotion to the DStv Premiership.

The Uganda international has emerged as one of the leading goalkeepers in the division with 14 clean sheet in 38 games since his arrival.

Simba SC and TP Mazembe have enquired about his availability with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, but with Richards Bay holding an option to extend, they’ve issued a hands-off warning.

Kaizer Chiefs were also said to have been monitoring the towering keeper but no official approach was made.

Magoola previously turned out for Sudanese giants Al Hilal and Al-Merriekh after leaving his hometown club Kampala FC.

It remains to be seen if he the relegation-threatened club will be able to retain one of their key players beyond the January transfer window.
