Orlando Pirates have announced the departures of five players with immediate effect.
Earlier on Tuesday, Chippa United had already announced the arrival of Craig Martin on a two-year deal with an option to extend.
As a consequence, Martin was announced as one of the exits this evening, despite only joining in January.
“Orlando Pirates can confirm the departures of Ntsako Makhubela, Craig Martin, Nkanyiso Zungu, Kopano Thuntsane, and Ndumiso Mabena,” Pirates stated.
“The Club would like to wish them the best in their future endeavours.”
Makhubela was on loan at Golden Arrows in the 2022/23 season, while Zungu was at Richard’s Bay before the club terminated his loan prematurely.
Thuntsane left after added competition in the goalkeeping department following the arrival of Melusi Buthelezi.
Lastly, Mabena was also released despite only returning to the club midway through the 2022/23 season.
