Ditlhokwe On Chiefs Exit Talk

Kaizer Chiefs defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe has opened up on rumours linking him with a January exit from Naturena.

Ditlhokwe has had a difficult time at Chiefs since joining the club from SuperSport United and was initially not in Nasreddine Nabi’s line-ups.

However, since the injury of Bradley Cross, ‘TT’ has returned to the starting XI in the left-back role.

With question marks over his future remaining, Ditlhokwe stayed cryptic over his future at the club.

“Most of the time I always tell people that it’s all about God,” he said when asked by iDiski Times whether he’d be at the club by the end of the January window.

“If it’s God’s will to be here, I’ll be here. But if it’s not God’s will for me to be here, obviously I will not be here.”

The 26-year-old has started the last three games as left-back but insisted he is familiar to playing the role because he grew up as full-back.

“It’s a position that I once played, I grew up playing as left-back in Botswana before I was converted into a left centre-back,” he added.

“So in football they always say you must have two or three positions that you can play, so that any time when you are called you can come and deliver.

“It’s all about about reminding yourself and keeping things simple so that you can try to offer something to the team.”
