Former Bafana Bafana midfielder Lebogang Phiri has completed a return to French club En Avant Guingamp.
Phiri, 29, was last on the books of Turkish side Rizespor but struggled for game-time in Turkey.
He has now returned to France after leaving Guingamp in July 2021, joining his former side on a five-month contract.
During his first spell in France, Phiri made 88 appearances for Guingamp and scored one goal.
Guingamp were relegated in 2019 and currently sit in eighth place in Ligue 1, but just two points behind the promotion playoff spots.
Phiri, who came through Bidvest Wits academy, left South Africa in 2013 to join Danish side Brondby, making 145 appearances for the Danish side before leaving them for Guingamp in 2017.
He’s also made six appearances for Bafana Bafana, with his last coming in November 2019 in a 1-0 win over Sudan under Molefi Ntseki, where he scoreed the only goal. Phiri was also part of the Bafana team that won the COSAFA Cup in 2016.
