TS Galaxy are closing in on the signing of Siphesihle Maduna after his exit from Cape Town Spurs.
Maduna, 24, has left Spurs after their relegation, having signed a short-term contract with the club as they looked to retain their top-flight status.
Once dubbed among the most promising talents in the country with AmaZulu, alleged off-the-field issues have plagued the playmaker.
However, Galaxy are said to be keen to offer him the chance to revive his career, where several other misfits have found themselves developing at the club in recent years.
While Galaxy are under a three-window FIFA transfer ban, Chairman Tim Sukazi expressed his confidence the matter will be resolved in the coming weeks.
Maduna scored seven goals with six assists in 86 games for Usuthu before his brief stint in Cape Town ended with just seven appearances.
