Official: Chippa Sign Downs Defender

Chippa United have announced the permanent signing of left-back Gadinkame Modise.

The 25-year-old spent the 2023/24 season on loan with the Chilli Boys and now moved from Pretoria to Gqeberha permanently.

He made 17 appearances for Chippa last campaign and has now penned a three-year contract.

“Chippa United FC and Mamelodi Sundowns Fc have agreed on a transfer for Gadinkame Modise. The player has signed a 3-year deal with us,” the club stated.

In addition, Chippa also announced that goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has signed a three-year deal with the club and was also named the club’s new captain.

“We are pleased to announce that Stanley Nwabali has signed an improved three-year contract with Chippa United FC,” read a statement.

“We are incredibly proud of Stanley’s dedication and commitment to the club. His leadership on and off the field has been exemplary, and we believe he is the right person to guide our team through the challenges ahead.

“With this been said Stanley will be our new team captain for the upcoming season. We wish Stanely continued success in his career, both in domestic competitions and on the international stage. We look forward to achieving great things together in the seasons to come.”
