Cape Town City have continued their squad revamp and announced Sibusiso Ziba’s arrival from JDR Stars, as reported by iDiski Times.
Ziba, 25, who is capable of featuring at centre-back and right-back, joined the club on a four-year deal.
City’s defence has been identified as one of the key areas that needed to improve, and Ziba joins a defence currently featuring Keanu Cupido, Lorenzo Gordinho, and Ramazani Tshimanga as natural centre-back options.
The towering defender missed only five out of a possible 60 games for JDR Stars in the league over the past two seasons, after they finished third in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Ziba becomes the club’s seventh official signing, following Carlinhos, Hashim Domingo, Fortune Makaringe, Kayden Francis, Elson Sithole and Lefa Aphane, while the arrival of Kamohelo Mokotjo is yet to be announced.
