New Young Africans SC head coach Manqoba Mngqithi has lured former Golden Arrows defender Oumar Comara to the Tanzanian champions.

As reported by this publication, Yanga agreed to a transfer fee with Abafana Bes’thende, and the player was unveiled by the club on Tuesday after passing a routine medical.

The 25-year-old defender had joined Arrows from FC San Pedro in 2025 and previously had stints in Morocco at MAS Fes and FUS Rabat after initially breaking through from the academy system of ASEC Mimosas.

Comara featured 19 times for the club under Mngqithi last season and has already seen a replacement lined up in the form of Eroine Agnikoi from Marumo Gallants.

He becomes the second former PSL player to follow Mngqithi to Yanga, after Peter Shalulile was also unveiled by the club following his move as a free agent.
