Official: Stellenbosch Confirm Second Exit

Stellenbosch FC have confirmed the exit of Gambian winger Salifu Colley after just one season at the club.

The U20 international joined Stellies in August last year after impressing at the U20 FIFA World Cup but failed to establish himself in the first team.

Devin Titus, Anicet Oura and Antonio van Wyk were ahead of him in the pecking order, and the club has now agreed to part ways on a mutual agreement.

“Colley joined Stellenbosch from Real de Banjul at the start of the 2023/24 season and made five appearances throughout his solitary campaign in the Cape Winelands,” the club statement read.

“We thank him for his service and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Steve Barker’s side have already secured Lehlogonolo Mojela and Sanele Barns from TS Galaxy and Richards Bay, respectively, as forward and wide options for the upcoming season, while Nhlanhla Mgaga was announced as first departure.
