Mahlasela – We Know Where We Are On The Log

Kabelo Mahlasela says the Royal AM players know where they’re sitting on the DStv Premiership log and are working hard to improve their situation.

The new top flight club, who beat Bloemfontein Celtic’s status, have not had the best of starts, and have lost their opening two games in the league, against Swallows and Cape Town City.

After two games, they are currently 15th on the log, with only them and fellow KZN outfit Maritzburg United yet to pick up a point in the league.

The former Kaizer Chiefs player, who played for Celtic a few seasons ago, says no one had a break during this FIFA window, and they have been working hard to improve.

“Ja, I mean, I think as a team, we know where we are on the log,” Mahlasela told the club’s media department.

“And this FIFA break, we used it to our advantage, we are training, no one went home, so we are here working hard.

“So we want to improve as a team, we want improve as individuals. So hopefully, whatever that we are doing here at training, it will help us going forward.

AM’s next game is against Chippa United on the 12th of September, at home at the Chatsworth Stadium.

“Ja, for sure. I mean, against Chippa United, we’re playing at home,” he continued.

“You know, we need to get the maximum points by hook or by crook.

“There’s no doubt about it, we need to go out there and fight as a team, and win our individual battles.

“I think if we can do that, we stand a good chance of winning the game, but definitely we need the maximum points.”
