JDR Stars moved top of the GladAfrica Championship after the latest round of fixtures in South Africa’s second tier.

On Saturday JDR Stars continued their good form, but added to the woes of bottom-placed Jomo Cosmos with a 1-0 win, Nkosana More with the solitary goal.
Venda Football Academy and Cape Town All Stars drew 1-1, while Polokwane City picked up their third win of the season, with a 2-0 away victory over TS Sporting.
Uthongathi picked up a good 3-1 win over Pretoria Callies, thanks to another goal from Thato Mohlamme, and a brace from Nkosikhona Dube. Pule Motsetse scored for Callies.
On Sunday AmaTuks missed a chance to return top as they played to a goalless draw against TTM, while there was also a goalless draw between Cape Town Spurs and Platinum City Rovers.
Free State Stars picked up an important three points on the road, as they beat Black Leopards 1-0.
