Former Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has confirmed that he is in talks with a PSL club following his exit from Amakhosi.
The Burundian coach left Amakhosi alongside the rest of the technical team at the conclusion of the season after the club finished third in the standings.
He had arrived at Chiefs alongside Nasreddine Nabi, who was the club’s head coach at the time, before taking over as co-coach alongside Khalil Ben Youssef when the Tunisian tactician left.
Kaze says he is in talks with a club that finished in the top 10 of the Betway Premiership standings, with the possibility of taking over as head coach.
“Yes [I would accept the job in the PSL],” he answered during the interview with Robert Marawa on MSW.
“There are some talks that are happening. If it goes well, I’d gladly take it because I believe I know the platform – the league, the players and the format of the league.
“I’m pretty sure that I can be helpful.”
When he was asked whether it was a club that finished the season in the top eight, he kept his cards close to his chest somewhat.
“Let’s say it’s a team in the top ten,” he added.
When asked further if it was “Babina Noko”, he said, “I think Sekhukhune? That’s the name of the club.”
“Like every team that I played against [I’m familiar with them], we looked at them, spent some time analysing them.”
