CAS Reach Decision On Ex-Bucs Playmaker Morisson

The Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) have reached a decision on the case of Bernard Morisson after Young Africans SC disputed his controversial move to rivals Simba SC.

Morisson, 28, spent two years with Orlando Pirates before joining Linafoot outfit DCMP, where he reignited his career and was snapped up by Yanga.

The playmaker went on to become one of the leading figures in the Ligi Kuu Bara with several standout displays before and was subsequently handed a pre-contract by their rivals upon the expiry of his one-year deal.

However, Yanga claimed the deal with Simba was illegal as they had activated an extension, which the player was adamant was never the case.

CAS has now ruled that the case of Yanga is to be dismissed as he held no binding contract with the club in an official document iDiski Times has in its possession.
