Bafana Bafana striker Khanyisa Mayo is ready for selection at his new home CR Belouizdad after receiving his work permit.
The former Cape Town City forward joined the 10-times Algerian champions earlier this month on a three-year deal, making him the first South African player to play in Algerian Ligue 1.
The former Cape Town City put in a great shift during pre-season where he scored three goals in two matches, but was unavailable for Taraji and couldn’t make his debut in the CAF Champions League 1st preliminary round due to his incomplete paperwork.
iDiski Times understands that Mayo’s paperwork has since been resolved and that the Bafana marksman is now ready to finally kickstart his Algerian odyssey.
Belouizdad start their league campaign on 14 September just before the CAF Champions League 2nd preliminary round.
Mayo missed out on the Bafana Bafana preliminary squad that was announced by Hugo Broos for their 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Uganda and South Sudan next month.
