Orlando Pirates striker Kwame Peprah has not returned for pre-season as his exit from the club appears imminent.
The 22-year-old arrived at Pirates in August 2021 with a burgeoning reputation after scoring 12 goals with as many assists in 32 games in the Ghana Premier League with King Faisal.
After his reported R2.3-million transfer, he became a regular fixture in the squad and scored nine goals in 39 games as they reached the CAF Confederation Cup final that season.
But the arrival of Jose Riveiro saw him fall out of favour before making a loan switch to Maritzburg United.
His fortunes didn’t change much at the Team of Choice as he scored one goal in 14 games as they were relegated and it appears Pirates are now willing to allow him to leave as he’s no longer part of their first-team plans.
iDiski Times understands Peprah has not returned to the club since they reported back for their medical tests and pre-season preparation and a move abroad seems likely, just months after the club rejected a lucrative offer from Al Ahli Tripoli.
There’s been initial interest from the Qatari second tier, Morocco, and Tanzania but his next destination looks likely to take him to Isreal.
