Sundowns’ Second Netherlands Fixture Confirmed

Mamelodi Sundowns’ first two pre-season friendly fixtures in the Netherlands have been confirmed with two more likely to be scheduled for their trip in Europe.

Sundowns who touched down in Rustenberg for their next stage of pre-season have been active in their changes with Steve Komphela vacating his role as First Team Coach in order to take over at Moroka Swallows as their new head coach.

Andile Jali, Surprise Ralani and Lesedi Kapinga were released while Lesiba Nku, Junior Mendeita and Lucas Ribeiro Costa arrived as incoming new signings.

iDiski Times understands they will face off against seven-time Botswana Premier League champions, Gaborone United in a friendly match on Friday.

They will then travel abroad between 19 and 29 July, which is seen as the ideal preparation for the CAF Champions League and CAF Super League campaign.

They will face six-time Dutch Eredivisie champions Sparta Rotterdam on 25 July and NAC Breda, who currently play in the Eerste Division (the second division in the Netherlands) on 27 July.

This website understands talks are in process for a couple more, potentially from the Belgium top-flight before they return back to Chloorkop at the end of the month.
