Jwaneng Galaxy head coach Morena Ramoreboli is pleased with Orlando Pirates’ progression to the CAF Champions League stages, saying it will aid Bafana Bafana in great deal with players who have gained continental experience.
Morena’s Galaxy outfit were unable to overturn the first leg deficit as they crashed out of the competition. They lost the home tie 2-0 before Monnapule Saleng’s late solitary trike completed the double win over the Botswana Premier League champions at Orlando Stadium.

The 43-year-old Free State-born mentor reckoned Pirates joining Mamelodi Sundowns in Africa’s premium club competition will be an added advantage for the South African national team.
“Orlando Pirates being part of the group stages, it will also help Bafana Bafana,” Ramoreboli told the media in his post-match presser.
“Because for me, the contribution of Mamelodi Sundowns with the experience they have gained in the continent, it has helped Bafana Bafana.
“And, I think, Orlando Pirates as well with the team that always releases or produces players for Bafana for them to go and compete at that stage.
“The good thing about Orlando Pirates is that they have about 60% of young players which for me I would say it will help the country if they’re given the responsibility to go and play.
“It will help the country to produce more players for Bafana and with a bit of international experience,” he added.
