Mamelodi Sundowns thrashed Mbabane Swallows 4-0 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday evening to put themselves on the brink of the CAF Champions League group stages.
In what will be their 10th consecutive group stage qualification, barring a miraculous comeback from the eSwatini champions at next week, Sundowns coasted to a routine victory in their away game played in Tshwane.
Lucas Ribeiro Costa got the scoring underway after three minutes after Asekho Tiwani was brought down in the area and the Brazilian forward made no mistake with the penalty.
Mosa Lebusa added a second with a free header 10 minutes later before debutant Iqraam Rayners added a third before half-time.
Costa made it 4-0 crisp finish 10 minutes into the second half, and at that point the only thing dampening the performance was the injury to striker Arthur Sales in the opening half, who was replaced by Thapelo Maseko.
Sundowns will host Swallows next week at the same venue (18h00), after their Tshwane derby against SuperSport United on Tuesday at Loftus Versfeld.
