New Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bathusi Aubaas has revealed why he joined Masandawana from TS Galaxy.
Aubaas, 28, was the latest new signing unveiled by Sundowns, where he became the fifth signing this window.
The towering midfielder had a standout 2022/23 campaign, which also earned him a call-up to Bafana Bafana, making his debut in the recent 2-1 win over Morocco.
He had also been linked with Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, but Masandawana won the race for his services.
“What attracted me to Sundowns, they have a winning mentality,” he told his new club.
“One thing I want to achieve in the club, I want to win a lot of titles.
“I’m not here to relax, I’m here to work and I’m here to learn. I’m here to add value to the team, I’m here to compete.”
Aubaas joined Galaxy from Free State Stars in 2018 when the club was still playing under the Highlands Park name, before it was bought by Tim Sukazi in September 2020.
He becomes Downs’ fifth signing following Lesiba Nku, Junior Mendieta, Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Thapelo Maseko.
