Eymael Dismisses Mali’s Chippa Exit Claims

Former Chippa United head coach Luc Eymael has dismissed claims from the club’s Sporting Director Sinesipho Mali that he was unhappy with the quality of players at his disposal which led to his exit.

Mali reportedly said the Belgian mentor was not fully confident with the squad and that he was unable to turn fortunes around in their next five matches, something Eymael has strongly denied.

Speaking to Andile Ncube on Sports Night Amplified, the former Free State Stars and Polokwane City coach did not mince his words on the supposed untrue claims.

“It’s a big lie, I’m sorry to say, it’s a big lie. He has to be responsible of what he said,” Eymael said.

“But I never said that. I asked just the Chairman let me again two, three games to fix the things and we’ll see.

“I know the situation of the club, we spoke with the Sporting Director before. We never sit down like you said he said that he made I don’t know what meeting with me. No, no!

“We didn’t do that for the planification of the next five games like I could heard. We never did that.

“No, no I never said these words. He has to be responsible of what he said. I said we have to rectify some different things in the window.

“I never said anything bad on the squad, I was just saying we needed a bit more experienced players.”
