La Masia Part Ways With Klate

Motsepe Foundation Championship side NB La Masia has decided to sack Daine Klate after a run of indifferent results.

Klate was appointed as the NB La Masia head coach in October following a poor start from the Gauteng-based side.

La Masia has been struggling under the leadership of Klate having only won three matches in 17 matches including a 6-1 defeat against Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup.

La Masia suffered their fifth loss this past weekend against Hungry Lions which saw them dropping to 12th place just two points above relegation.

iDiski Times understands that La Masia released Klate from his duty for poor results.

It remains unclear what will happen to his technical team which includes Moeneeb Josephs, the goalkeeper coach.

La Masia have seven matches to save themselves from relegation with three of them being played at home. Their next encounter will be in six days against fourth-placed Baroka FC.
