Africa’s No.1 To Take Part In Cosafa Cup
Africa’s top ranked nation will be the guest team playing at the 2021 Cosafa Cup, with the draw for this year’s 20th edition scheduled for Thursday.
Senegal, who are ranked 22 in the world, will join 11 Cosafa region countries in the competition that will have a new format this year.
The tournament will be held in Gqeberha from July 7th to the 18th.
The teams will be split into three groups of four, with the top teams, and one best-placed runner up advancing to the semi-finals.
There will be no Plate competition this time around.
South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Comoros, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique and Namibia have all confirmed their participation, while the 12th nation is yet to be confirmed.
