Bafana Up One Spot In FIFA Rankings

Despite the two victories over Sao Tome and Principe earlier this month, Bafana Bafana’s FIFA ranking only improved by one spot.

Bafana beat Sao Tome 2-0 and 4-2 in the Afcon 2021 qualifiers, and moved from 72nd to the 71st spot.

On the other hand, Sao Tome dropped five spots, down to 187th.

Bafana remain 14th in the continental rankings. Senegal are currently the top rated African side, and are 17th in the global rankings.

Belgium remained the number one ranked nation in the world, when the new rankings were released this week.

Bafana will only be in action action in March 2021, when they play Ghana and Sudan in the final Afcon qualifying games.
