Cameo For Foster As Burnley Joins Leeds At The Top

Bafana Bafana striker Lyle Foster was a 78th-minute introduction as Burnley narrowly saw off Blackburn Rovers 1-0 to join Leeds United at the summit of the English Championship.

Zian Flemming netted the only goal of the afternoon in the 60th minute for Scott Parker’s side who have now moved level on points with Leeds on 52 points from 26 matches though they have played one match more than Leeds.

Foster has been slowly working his way back into the fold at the Clarets after sustaining an injury in Bafana’s 5-0 victory over Congo back in Octoberand being sidelined for the past two and half months.

The 24-year-old has now featured in the last four matches albeit it being from the bench. In the first two outings, Foster featured for less than five matches before racking up 15 minutes in the last match and then 12 minutes in this afternoon’s huge win at Ewood Park.
