Pitso Mosimane has made a huge admission about Itumeleng Khune and Khama Billiat.
The Al Ahly coach gave some insight into his side’s preparations for the CAF Champions League final, revealing the game penned out how he expected it.
However, he also revealed that he thought Khune and Leonardo Castro would start the game against his side, while insisting that he expected Khama Billiat to feature in the game.
“I thought Castro would start and I also thought Khune would start too because Baxter likes experience,” he said on SAFM.
“You can’t say to us that you have a surprise and then we sleep. I wanted to find out what the surprise was. I knew Khama would play and I was right.”
Mosimane even explained how he found out that Baxter would be on the sidelines for the final instead of Arthur Zwane.
“Chiefs said there was a surprise and we had to find the surprise. I called Home Affairs to find out if Baxter had a work permit. I knew he was on the bench. I knew Billiat would play.
“When we saw the pics in training on social media. We knew those with bibs would start and they did.”
