Anele Ngcongca’s former Belgian club, Racing Genk, has paid tribute to the player after his untimely passing today.
Genk tweeted a tribute, following the sad news, which said, “We hear the tragic news from Genkie Anele Ngcongca. He died in a car accident. In total, Anele played no fewer than 279 games for KRC Genk. Our thoughts are with family and friends of our South African ex-player.😢 RIP Anele 💙” (translated)
Earlier this year Anele was named in the Racing Genk team of the century, alongside players like Kevin De Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois and Christian Benteke.
