Three Mamelodi Sundowns players were named in the official CAFWCL Team of the Tournament.
Sundowns won the inaugural CAFWCL last Friday, beating Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies 2-0 in the final, to be crowned African champions.
Andile Dlamini, Zanele Nhlapo and Bambanani Mbane were all included in the team of the tournament.
While Sundowns didn’t have the most glittering tournament when it comes to attack, saving the best for the final, the three were rewarded for Sundowns’ sterling defence.
The South African champions went through the entire tournament in Cairo without conceding a goal.
