South Africa have named their starting line-up ahead of today’s FIFA World Cup Qualifiers clash against Ethiopia.
Hugo Broos’ troops take on Ethiopia at Bahir Dar Stadium today at 15:00.
Both SA and Ethiopia will be keen to collect all maximum points, with Broos’ men looking to defend their lead at the top of group G.
Bafana Bafana have had solid performances so far under Broos, after they have beaten Ghana 1-0 and drew 0-0 with Zimbabwe earlier last month, while Ethiopia started with a 1-0 defeat to Ghana and 1-0 win over Zimbabwe.
The East Africa country, meanwhile, holds a good record against South Africa as they have won one game, while they drew a game in total of two official games played in history. Nonetheless, all of it will count on the pitch when the two teams play.
Vincent Pule had been initially selected but got injured in warm-ups and was replaced by Thabiso Kutumela.
Here is how they line up:
South Africa XI: Williams (c), Mobbie, Mashego, Xulu, De Reuck, Mokoena, Brooks, Mvala, Kutumela, Hlongwane, Mabasa.
Ethiopia XI: F.Gebremichael, Tamene, Bayeh, Yusef, Tunjo, Endashaw, Dagnachew, Bekele, A.Gebremichael, Kebede, Nasir
