Stellenbosch head coach Steve Barker says the club is happy to have Waseem Isaacs return to the DStv Premiership outfit.
Isaacs previously played for Stellies in their debut season in the top flight, but last season left the club and joined GladAfrica Championship side Cape Town All Stars.
But Barker says there were no hard feelings when the stocky striker left, and he is happy to have him back at the club.
“Yes, we’re very pleased to welcome Waseem back,” Barker told the club’s media department.
“Waseem has been with us in the past, had a really great season for us, was our top goalscorer.
“Unfortunately in the second season, a couple of things didn’t work out as as both parties had wished. Waseem left us at the time, but there were no hard feelings.
“We know Waseem’s capabilities, we know his strengths. We believe he’s exactly the type of player that we need to to help us and elevate us to the next level.
“He is a goalscorer and we hoping that he come back and continue in the good vein of form that he had in the first season. Ja, we’re looking forward to working with Waseem.”
