Stellenbosch head coach Steve Barker says that he expects a tough game at Dobsonville Stadium against Swallows, especially with Brandon Truter back at the club.
The unbeaten Stellenbosch, who are fourth on the DStv Premiership table, will take on 14th-placed Swallows on Sunday afternoon.
Barker says that while they’re in a good space, he’s expecting a tough game against Swallows, who he feels will be desperate to get their season back on track.
“Ja, it’s always tough, obviously Swallows have had one or two of their issues of season however, Brandon Truter is back, as a coach, he has done really well for them,” Barker told the club’s media department
“I’m sure they’re desperate to get back on to winning ways and I would assume that they see this as an opportunity at home against us.
“So it’s difficult to predict exactly how they’ll set up, and the way they’ll play and so not an easy encounter at Dobsonville, they’re a difficult team to break down.
“But ja, we’re also in a good sort of space in terms of our preparation and the way the seasons gone.
“It’s just important for us to not become complacent, continue to grow and work hard every day at the training ground, keep improving.
“But ja, the confidence and belief of the team is growing and it’s just a matter of keeping that momentum by getting a positive result on the weekend.”
