Baxter On His Technical Team

Stuart Baxter has confirmed that Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard will be on the sidelines with him, while Molefi Ntseki will watch the games from the stands.

The Amakhosi coach addressed his technical team in a pre-match press conference ahead of his side’s MTN8 quarter-final clash with Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday.

Baxter himself took over from Gavin Hunt, with Zwane and Sheppard initially being on the sidelines until he received his work permit ahead of the CAF Champions League final.

He had already confirmed that he would continue to work with Zwane and Sheppard as his assistants, while Ntseki was appointed as the club’s new Head of Technical and Academy, but now gave some clarity as to who will be pitch side-with him.

“In terms of the bench, we’ve worked on the assumption that Arthur and Dillon will be on the bench and Molefe stays in touch with us from the stands,”

“I believe it’s good to have a good pair eyes from that different angle that comes to us at half-time and gives us his take on things and then we work out the tactical changes if they need to be done. We work those out at half-time.

“As far as I know, Arthur and Dillon will be on the bench.”
