Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer has reacted to his side’s defeat against Swallows FC, which saw the defending champions crash out of the MTN8.
The German tactician saw his side lose 2-1 to Swallows, which means they won’t defend their MTN8 title from 2020.
Zinnbauer, who will now be under more pressure going into the 2021/22 DStv Premiership campaign, said it was bad day at the office, particular in the first half.
“Bad, bad result. Bad start in the first half as well, we’re disappointed,” he said after the game.
“Not a good solution against the high pressure from Swallows. A lot of mistakes and we’re giving Swallows the chance to score.
“We tried a little bit more, we gained a little confidence after this two goals and come a little bit more into the game.
“Second half we changed in some positions, we changed a little bit the structure in terms of the build-up and was much better then, but it was not enough.
“We had opportunities to score, normally you have to score two, three times.
“Bad day for us, especially in this derby, especially in the MTN8, last season we won, now we are out and disappointed.”
