Orlando Pirates Assistant Coach Fadlu Davids says their DStv Premiership match against Cape Town City today is one of the more important games in the season.
Fifth-placed Pirates are two points ahead of City, who are sixth, although the Cape Town team has two games in hand over their opponents.
Davids says City are a good team, with a very well structured attack.
“We face a well balanced Cape Town City, well structured in attack,” Davids told Pirates media.
“They’ve got a really clear structured way they attack, with the flanks, with the three up front, with the runners from late and midfield, so we really have to take this game as one of the bigger games we’ll face this season, and one of the most important games.”
“We’re coming up at this crucial point of the season. We’ve been facing it now for the last 30 days, its our tenth game in 30 days, so the players are now getting used to rhythm of every two days having a match in front of you. The cup game, different competitions as well, but the cup game is in the past and now we’re facing a good team like Cape Town City and our players are really up for it to get the three points.”
